Richard Manley, Chairman
Mr Manley lives at Newbridge in the New Forest where he and his family farm a herd of pedigree cattle and depasture their stock using their 'rights of common'. He has various business interests in and around the area and was the chairman of the New Forest Commoners' Defence Association for five years until March 2005. He maintains an active involvement with many New Forest bodies and has an intimate knowledge of the forest and its workings and has personally worked on a large number of initiatives throughout the area.
James Earl of Malmesbury, Vice Chairman
Lord Malmesbury is a farmer and landowner in Hampshire and Dorset and has extensive interests in rural matters, which have included chairmanships of Sparsholt College, Committee for Rural Hampshire, Fleet and District Beekeepers Association and Greywell Parish Council, where he lives. He was President of the New Forest Show in 2004 and is a member of its Policy and Management Committee.
Oliver Crosthwaite Eyre
Mr. Crosthwaite Eyre comes from a family with long involvement in the development of the New Forest. He trained as a barrister before joining the family business. The family home, at Bramshaw, is situated in the north of the Forest where the Crown lands adjoin private commons. Since 2001 he has been Official Verderer and presided over the Court of Verderers.

Sam Dovey
Mr Dovey from Pilley, a forest village near Lymington, comes from a family steeped in commoning history in the New Forest. He is the local Assistant Group Secretary for the National Farmers Union; the Vice Chairman of the New Forest Pony Breeding and Cattle Society; a director of the New Forest Livestock Society - running the newly refurbished Beaulieu Road Pony Sale Yard and sits on the committee of the Commoners Defence Association. He has particular interests in New Forest Commoning and Affordable Housing for locals and commoners.
Maldwin Drummond
In addition to managing one of the estates in the south of the Forest, Mr Drummond has a long involvement with institutions of the New Forest. He served as a local magistrate for many years as well as an elected Verderer and Official Verderer. Currently, he is Vice Chairman of the 9th Century Trust. His other major interest is matters related to sailing and the sea.
Donald A Thompson
A trained forester, Mr. Thompson has worked in several different places in Britain and overseas. His work for the Forestry Commission has been quite varied including creation of the UK Forest Standard to describe sustainable forest management. Before retiring he was the Deputy Surveyor of the New Forest and as such intimately involved in most problems that affect the future of the New Forest. Mr. Thompson lives at the heart of the New Forest.

William Ziegler
By trade an Independent Financial Adviser, William Ziegler has lived in the New Forest all his life and is committed to its preservation and long term well-being. Apart from being a Trustee, Director and Company Secretary for the Trust he is also the Chairman of the New Forest Association and sits on various other Forest orientated committees.
